Your Xbox will work fine, but it will destroy the whole idea of viewing live TV through your Xbox. You will have to take your Xbox out of line and hook the set top box directly to your TV so it will pass a 4K signal. Here's the gotcha for all of you using an Xbox One X to drive your 4K gaming and TV viewing experience and you want to upgrade your Comcast/Xfinity set top box to the 4K model (they gave me an Arris XG1v4-A) while the XB1 will output a 4K signal, the HDMI-In port cannot support it and so what happens is the set top box will detect only 1080p60 capability and it won't even give you the option to go 2160p60. I also invested in the best HDMI cable I could find for high speed and went with the shortest possible for my installation and low and behold with a few tweaks to the settings, everything is talking to each other and the picture has never been better! I tried to post a link to the video that helped me, but apparently, I cannot until my post count is at 5 and I'm just a noob here so I'll come back and post the link when I can. ![]() Thank you to all you DIYers that go the extra mile to make videos for the less astute. ![]() I was able to figure out my connection issues with the help of an oldish and still very useful YouTube video. ![]() I hate the way technology exposes my dumb sometimes.
